I've been using Stumble Upon for months now, and have about 200 favorites mainly because I'm so excited to move onto the next site that I forget to like everything I've seen. Hell, I never dislike because maybe one day I will be into that!
So every once in a while I'm going to be doing a dump of my favorites, each one a certain category. Today's is going to be cooking. Because I love food and I'm rather hungry at this point in time. So Enjoy!
Home Made Pita Bread : I can honestly say that I haven't made this yet, but I can't wait to try. Home made hummus is a must for something that looks this delicious.
Rosemary and Olive Oil Crackers : I can't wait for my next dinner party so I can try making these. I think they'd go great alone, which means I can make a batch and throw it in a bowl and sit back waiting for everyone to praise my awesome skills.
10 different takes on Grilled Cheese : I'm never going to forget my love for a toasty and melty grilled cheese but sometimes you want a twist on an old favorite.
Peanut Butter Bon Bons : I'm fairly certain these are what heaven tastes like if you could take a big bite. Will find out at Christmas when I make them for family.
Chocolate Waffer Icebox Cake : It looks so simple and delicious. It's like a massive oreo with three containers of cool whip. I'm not seeing a downside other than having to share it.
Compound Butters : I'm the kind of girl who loves butter. On everything. Steak is no exception. I can't wait to get a grill and while John cooks those I make these to top my already delicious steaks. Mouth watering awesomeness. I promise.
Best French Onion Soup Ever : It's true. I've made it- granted I took some liberties and didn't follow exactly. But the end result? Absolutely delicious. I recomend it to anyone who doesn't mind cooking. Perfect for a cold Winters night.
Spinach and Artichoke Dip : Thanks to a year at Applebees I find Spin dip to be one of the most delicious things on the surface of the earth. With my move to England looming ahead I had to find something to replace the hole in my stomach that will be there after I go. This would probably be outstanding with those Rosemary Crackers I was talking about.. Or even some Pita.. Goodness, Be still my heart.
Lime Bars : Key lime pie is rich and delicious. These are just as delicious but a bit lighter. Great for summer or any time you want to eat something limey and delicious.
Lemon Pancakes : Nothing from a box mix will ever taste the same after these.
Roasted Potatos : Not only are these stunning but they're also delicious. Use whatever herb you want, as long as you use tons of it. Can't you feel your diet failing already?
Garlic Knot : If you haven't learned yet I happen to LOVE garlic. It's like the Oxygen that I have to smash before enjoying. These are soft and flavorful. Perfect with a simple tomato soup or even cut open and make a fancy and tasty sandwich with it.
Mint Basil Pesto : As long as you can make Pesto you will never be at a loss over what to cook for dinner. Throw it on some chicken, beef or even pasta. You're set. It's delicious and more importantly a handful of ingrediants and a food processor and you're done in 2 minutes flat.
Five minute Mug Cake : Ever wake up craving cake? Warm delicious cake that's wonderfully moist and delectable? Well don't spend an hour mixing and baking- follow this recipe and in five minutes you too can be enjoying delicious cake from a mug. And cleanup is a breeze!
So those are my favorite food links. I have more, but some of them aren't that great. Some of them don't even have to do with food! But if you're curious about all that I have stored away for a rainy day feel free to click HERE
Not only is stumble upon a great time waster but it's vastly improved my cooking and creativity in the kitchen because I'm seeing what others do and want to do it better and even more delicious.
